Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting qualified Maths and English tutors with QTS to provide off-site tuition to secondary pupils across Warrington. Sessions are held in local libraries and start around October half-term with ongoing work through the academic year.

Tutors work individually or in small groups, visiting library locations across Warrington. The role offers flexible hours, competitive pay at £25 per hour, and the chance to support students outside mainstream education.

Qualifications

• Qualified Maths or English teachers with QTS.
• Experience teaching secondary pupils.
• Willing to travel between Warrington libraries.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths or English tuition.
• Support pupils to develop confidence and knowledge.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.
• Establish positive relationships with pupils.
• Monitor pupil progress and adjust sessions accordingly.
• Provide appropriate challenge and support based on ability.
• Create a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
• Support pupils who may have barriers to accessing mainstream education.
