Job description

Company description

Shuhari Tuition is a tuition agency with a difference. Drawing on the concept of shu-ha-ri ( ) from Japanese martial arts, we believe that the journey to mastery involves three stages:

1. Learning the basics.

2. Developing your own approach.

3. Applying knowledge independently.

At Shuhari Tuition, we reject the one-size-fits-all approach to learning which is adopted in schools. While the school system is designed for surface-level comprehension, with rote learning and standardised testing at its core, we understand how this can alienate students who work best using alternative methods. That's why our agency empowers students to take ownership of their academic journey and learn in a way that works for them. Students begin with an assessment to determine their learning style, allowing us to plan lessons that play to their individual strengths. In doing so, we help foster a genuine love for learning while nurturing confident, independent thinkers.

Shuhari Tuition was founded by two tutors with over seven years of combined experience, so we understand the struggles students face-whether it's low confidence, lack of motivation, exam anxiety, poor study habits, or special educational needs. Our qualified tutors are able to accommodate a variety of needs, in particular students with dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, and autism. We recognise that every student's learning journey is unique, which is why our mission is to create personalised lesson plans that adapt to the flexible needs of our students. As a result, we create a positive and enriching learning environment where every kind of student can thrive.
