Job summary

Cove School in Hampshire is seeking an inspirational Curriculum Leader for Maths to lead a dedicated team of eight specialist maths teachers. You will inspire students to make excellent progress in Maths across the full age range, Year 7 to Year 11, while maintaining high expectations and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mathematics (essential).
• Thorough knowledge of the (13-16) GCSE Mathematics curriculum (essential).
• Recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE (essential).
• Experience leading a team (highly desirable).
• Experience motivating colleagues (highly desirable).
• Experience leading projects within your own department or wider school environment (highly desirable).
• Excellent classroom management and communication with pupils, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Engage, enthuse, motivate and challenge students to excel academically.
• Teach across year 7 to 11 with a standard timetable allocation.
• Enhance teaching and learning through resource sharing and lesson observation.
• Mentor and participate in continuing professional development programmes.
• Safeguard and promote welfare of children.
• Contribute to school aims for teaching and learning.
