TP Tutors in Newcastle is seeking a Maths and English Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to pupils in the Newcastle area. The position is part-time, during school hours, with competitive pay (£25–£30 per hour) and ongoing support from a dedicated consultant, plus CPD opportunities to develop teaching skills.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring Maths and English.
• Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners of different ages and abilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted are inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Tutors must also hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid Child-only Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service, with full guidance provided.

Many pupils supported by TP Tutors require tailored educational provision. Tutors should be confident in building positive relationships, adapting their approach to meet individual needs, and maintaining high standards of professionalism and safeguarding at all times. Tutors must also be able to effectively plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the learner’s individual needs, monitor progress, and adapt teaching strategies to support positive outcomes.
