A leading recruitment agency is seeking a passionate and experienced Maths and English Functional Skills Teacher to support students in an Alternative Education Provision in Surrey. This ongoing, part-time role requires delivery of tailored lessons to groups of 8-10 pupils aged 11-16, focusing on their wellbeing and academic progress, with support from Teaching Assistants. The educator should have strong classroom management skills and ideally be experienced in SEN settings, as this position may lead to permanent placement.

GSL are working closely with an Alternative Education Provision based in Surrey, which is dedicated to supporting young, vulnerable people through sports and creative engagement to improve their life skills. The post is to start as soon as possible, and you will be required to work during term time until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming a permanent member of staff.
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Functional Skills Intervention Teacher to support pupils aged 11–16 with SEMH, ADHD, and ASC in a nurturing and structured setting in Surrey. This is a key leadership role, ideal for someone with strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver Maths and English at Functional Skills level to small groups of pupils (8–10 per class), with the support of Teaching Assistants in every session.
This great opportunity would suit an educator with previous experience in SEN settings, especially working with pupils who are unable to access mainstream education due to SEMH, SEND, or exclusions.
