Job summary

Teach Now in Hertfordshire is seeking a Mathematics Teacher to guide students aged 11–18 from early secondary through A-levels. You will help develop mathematical reasoning, prepare for GCSE and A-level exams, and foster problem-solving confidence.

This full-time role runs 8:30am–3:30pm, term time only, with a start date 23 November 2026. The ideal candidate has QTS and experience across KS3–5, and can adapt to varied abilities while contributing to departmental planning.

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching mathematics across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
• Experience delivering GCSE and A-level mathematics.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated maths lessons across KS3–KS5.
• Prepare pupils for GCSE and A-level examinations.
• Set clear expectations and maintain consistent classroom routines.
• Adapt teaching to support different abilities and learning needs.
• Assess progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Develop pupils' mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
