Job summary

Milk Education, in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in L15, Liverpool, seeks an experienced Maths Teacher for a full-time maternity cover commencing November 2026.

You will teach Maths across KS3 and KS4 (with potential KS5) and join a supportive team dedicated to student progress and achievement.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
  • Experience teaching Maths in a UK secondary school.
  • Strong knowledge of Maths across KS3 to KS5.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Support students in developing mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Differentiate learning to meet diverse learner needs.
  • Monitor, assess and track student progress.
  • Prepare students for assessments and GCSE examinations.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents and carers to support student success.

Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in L15, Liverpool to recruit an experienced Maths Teacher for a full-time maternity cover position starting in November 2026.

The successful candidate will teach Maths across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that inspire confidence, progress and achievement.

The Role

  • Prepare students for assessments and GCSE examinations

The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Maths within a UK secondary school
  • Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 and potentially KS5
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A passionate and engaging approach to teaching
  • Commitment to raising attainment and supporting student progress
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
