Job summary

GAC Education seeks a dedicated Maths Teacher for a secondary school in Warrington. This full-time role offers a daily rate of £150–£250 depending on experience and qualifications, with a focus on engaging lessons and strong pupil progress.

You will work in a supportive team, planning creative lessons aligned to the UK curriculum, assessing progress, managing behaviour, and collaborating with parents and colleagues to support student development.

Qualifications

• QTS / QTLS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Maths at secondary level with knowledge of the UK curriculum.
• Excellent communication skills to inspire and motivate students.
• Proactive, well-organised with strong time-management.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to learner needs.
• Commitment to personal and professional development.
• Willingness to obtain DBS if not held.

Responsibilities

Maths Teacher Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that are engaging, interactive, and aligned with the national curriculum.
• Develop and implement creative lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
• Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, providing feedback that promotes growth and understanding.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support the holistic development of students.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and professional development sessions.
• Encourage a growth mindset and love of learning among students, promoting participation in extra-curricular Maths-related activities.

Maths Teacher Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Maths at secondary level, with a strong knowledge of the UK curriculum.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• A proactive approach, with strong organisational and time-management skills.
