City of Peterborough Academy is seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Learning Assistant (Maths) to join our Mathematics department. You will work with teaching staff to deliver targeted intervention, plan learning activities and monitor student progress.

The role involves supporting pupils with SEND, EAL and disadvantaged learners, delivering small group and 1:1 sessions, and contributing to the wider life of the academy. We value safeguarding and professional development.

• Experience of supporting teaching and learning in a school.

Responsibilities

• Support Mathematics teaching across Key Stages.
• Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions to raise attainment.
• Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities under supervision.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Support learners with SEND, EAL and disadvantaged pupils.
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Prepare resources and maintain a suitable learning environment.
• Provide classroom cover for planned absence where appropriate.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and enrichment activities.
