• Proven track record of strong mathematics outcomes.
• Experience in middle or senior leadership within a school.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics pedagogy, curriculum design and assessment.
• Experience leading and developing colleagues to improve teaching and learning.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive improvement.
• High levels of ambition, professional credibility and resilience.
• Commitment to inclusion and ensuring every scholar can realise potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for mathematics across the academy.
• Drive improvements in teaching, learning and achievement within mathematics.
• Lead curriculum development to ensure a challenging, knowledge-rich mathematics offer.
• Monitor and analyse performance data to raise attainment and accelerate progress.
• Coach, mentor and develop colleagues to strengthen classroom practice.
• Contribute to academy self-evaluation, improvement planning and quality assurance activities.
• Promote high expectations, excellent behaviour and a culture of academic excellence.
• Work collaboratively with leaders across the academy and Astrea Academy Trust to secure sustained improvement.
