Job summary

The Dow Surgery in Redditch is seeking a maternity GP to join a friendly team for 4 sessions per week (Mondays & Tuesdays) on an initial 12-month temporary contract. The role involves managing a caseload in a high-quality primary care setting at the Redditch Town Centre practice.

Our team includes GP partners, salaried GPs, nurses and support staff; we offer a collaborative environment with teaching opportunities and regular education meetings.

Qualifications

• Active GMC registration.
• Experience of working in primary care.
• Experience of working in a GP practice.
• Experience of dealing with vulnerable patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage a GP caseload and provide high-quality primary care to registered and temporary patients.
• Undertake surgery consultations, telephone queries and home visits; check and sign repeat prescriptions.
• Record clear notes and issue prescriptions per formulary as appropriate.
• Adhere to practice policies and contribute to evaluation, audit and patient records.
