  • Develop and improve test methods and quality checks to ensure consistency across material mixing and downstream manufacturing processes.
  • Work closely with production teams and process engineers to support material trials, troubleshoot processing issues and ensure products meet required quality standards.
  • Analyse test data, perform calculations independently and clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Investigate material-related failures and provide technical support for customer complaint investigations where required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve material waste streams and increase the effective utilisation of reprocessed materials.
  • Maintain, calibrate and ensure the appropriate upkeep of laboratory and specialist testing equipment.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement activities, helping to improve quality, efficiency and working practices across the business.

  • A good working knowledge of quality systems, material standards and relevant testing requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data and communicate findings clearly.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work collaboratively with production, engineering and other stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively on your own initiative.
