Job summary

Balfour Beatty VINCI is recruiting a Materials Technician Apprentice - Level 3 to join the HS2 project. You will undertake testing on aggregates, concrete and asphalt in line with required standards and support the Laboratory Manager with equipment maintenance.

The role requires strong IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms and SharePoint, good organisation and the ability to work at pace. A full UK driving licence is essential and applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent IT and data handling abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and pace in a busy environment.
• Valid UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking testing on materials including aggregates, concrete and asphalt.
• Complying with high standards of works and deadlines.
• Maintaining equipment to an excellent standard.
• Proactively communicate with senior staff.
• Attending training courses and assessments as required.
