Job summary

Painter Brothers on a UK site is seeking an experienced Materials Team Leader to coordinate incoming materials, support daily operations and lead a team to deliver safety, quality and performance.

You will supervise unloading, storage, and distribution, train team members and drive continuous improvement while ensuring adherence to health and safety rules. This is a hands-on role requiring practical equipment experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in materials handling, storage and stock control on a busy site.
• Ability to read and understand workplace process documentation.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead setting-to-work briefings and allocate tasks at each shift start.
• Coordinate unloading, recording, organisation and distribution of materials.
• Load/unload trailers using appropriate materials-handling equipment.
• Promote a safe, clean working environment and ensure compliance with HSE rules.
• Train, mentor and develop team members to improve performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, output and efficiency.
• Identify and track non-conforming materials and report issues promptly.
