Job summary

Newly Weds® Foods Limited in Banbury is seeking a Purchasing / Materials Coordinator to coordinate the purchase and availability of all raw materials. The role balances MOQs, inbound capacity, stockholding parameters and production demand while maintaining customer service and minimising waste.

You will make day-to-day purchasing and expediting decisions, escalate significant cost implications, and work with Purchasing, CI Team and RTIS to source materials and ensure continuity of supply.

• IT literate, especially Excel.
• Ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
• Good negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to plan both long- and short-term activities.

Responsibilities

• Analyse daily requirements for raw materials and place purchase orders.
• Maintain MOQs, safety stocks and stock parameters.
• Monitor orders to ensure on-time, full delivery at the agreed price.
• Identify shortages and supply risks and escalate as needed.
• Liaise with Purchasing, CI Team and RTIS on sourcing materials.
• Maintain contact with suppliers and production to ensure supply continuity.
• Coordinate stock movements and communicate to minimise production disruption.
• Resolve invoice queries with Accounts and Purchasing.
• Document data discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.
