Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a motivated stores/materials operative to safely receive, move, store and dispatch materials across our service bases. You will work closely with workshop colleagues, participate in daily meetings, and follow safety protocols while using POS/SAP systems for daily tasks.

The role requires stock management experience, a forklift certificate, Banksman/Slinger/Overhead Crane/Rigging Loft Management certs, and a clean UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores/materials and stock management.
• Safety conscious with attention to procedures and PPE.
• Computer literate with ability to update systems.
• Able to perform delivery driving and assist in on-call/overtime rotations.

Responsibilities

• Safely receive, move, store and dispatch materials and equipment.
• Collaborate with workshop colleagues and attend daily meetings.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use company systems for daily tasks (POS/SAP).
• Ensure safety and security of materials during receipt, dispatch and storage.
• Verify equipment and documentation accurately.
• Handle materials with appropriate machinery.
• Update computer systems and conduct stock checks.
• Perform varied operational duties including delivery driving, on-call rota or overtime, and process purchase orders.
