Job summary

Omega Plastics Group is recruiting a Materials and Scheduling Controller for our Team Valley site in Gateshead. You will manage customer orders, create works orders, liaise with planning and logistics, and support pricing and customer interactions to ensure on-time delivery.

The role reports to the Head of Operations and involves collaboration with Production, Tooling/Projects and Commercial teams. A permanent, full-time position with benefits and a salary of £30,000–£33,500.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years practical experience.
  • Experience using MRP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Collaborative approach to delivery with colleagues across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, process and acknowledge customer purchase orders and schedules.
  • Liaise with planning to review material requirements and ensure delivery dates.
  • Build relationships with customers and keep them updated on order progress.
  • Coordinate outbound deliveries with Warehouse & Logistics to meet schedules.
  • Support the engineering team in obtaining trial materials and components.
  • Enter accurate BOMs and part numbers onto Sage for material consumption.
