Job summary

Fugro in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, is seeking a Goods-In Assistant for a full-time, on-site role. You will receive, inspect and record incoming goods, support storage and dispatch, and help maintain inventory accuracy to support geotechnical projects.

Working with lab teams, couriers and site personnel, you will ensure materials are available when needed while adhering to QHSSE standards. The role may require occasional weekend shifts to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and team collaboration.
• Basic computer literacy and confidence using MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and accurately record incoming goods, materials and samples.
• Support safe storage, handling and dispatch of samples and materials.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through stock control systems and documentation.
• Assist with sample management: sorting, packaging, transfer, storage and disposal.
• Coordinate logistics with lab teams, couriers and site personnel.
• Help maintain a safe, organised warehouse environment aligned with QHSSE standards.
• Resolve inventory, shipment or delivery discrepancies with colleagues.
