Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group in Rotherham is seeking a Materials Planner to ensure uninterrupted raw material supply. You will forecast material requirements, manage purchases and supplier performance, and shape stock control through continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with Operations, Planning, Warehouse and Finance to maintain service levels, optimise costs, and support global manufacturing with strong analytical skills and clear stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in a raw materials supply chain, purchasing or planning role.
• Background in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy.
• Confident communicator, comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting raw material requirements based on production schedules, customer demand and stock levels for both UK and US sites.
• Raising and managing purchase orders, monitoring open orders and expediting deliveries where needed
• Planning and scheduling deliveries, and maintaining safety stock levels
• Acting as the main point of contact for suppliers on orders, deliveries and supply issues
• Producing inventory, supplier performance and purchasing reports, including month-end reporting
• Working closely with Operations, Planning, Warehouse, Technical, Quality and Finance teams
• Supporting continuous improvement, Kaizen and cost reduction initiatives

This key role will ensure an uninterrupted supply of raw materials across the business, taking ownership of forecasting, purchasing and supplier management, while helping to shape stock control and procurement processes through continuous improvement.
