Job summary

White Label Recruitment Ltd seeks a Materials Planner in Hull, East Yorkshire, offering £27,000 per year. The role focuses on planning materials, managing supplier schedules, and maintaining inventory to support production.

You will work in a small, experienced supply chain team, handling ERP/MRP tasks, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement to minimise disruption and ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience in materials planning, supply chain, purchasing or procurement.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Knowledge of ERP and MRP systems.
• Strong supplier management and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and issue supplier material schedules within lead times.
• Manage supplier communication to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Monitor supplier performance and report supply chain KPIs.
• Identify material shortages and work with Production Planning to minimise disruption.
• Coordinate material flow throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Manage material requirements through ERP/MRP systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain agreed safety stock.
• Produce forecasts for suppliers with longer lead times.
• Expedite delayed deliveries and escalate supply risks when required.
• Support supplier improvement activity through root cause analysis.
