Position: Materials Manager

Location: Pershore, Worcestershire

Job Type: Permanent / Onsite

My client, a global specialist manufacturing business, is seeking a Materials Manager to join their fast-paced, growing company.

Role and Responsibilities –

The primary focus of this role is managing and monitoring inventory and vehicle movements at two UK sites. This includes overseeing materials flow, stock accuracy, and stock transactions within the ERP system.

Additional responsibilities include:

1. Continuously improving material flow processes and implementing best practices
2. Managing Goods in Control processes and collaborating with the Quality team to ensure proper identification and storage of materials
3. Overseeing perpetual stock counting, analyzing discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions
4. Reviewing future resource needs based on sales forecasts and adjusting plans accordingly

Experience or Qualifications –

• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, managing materials and logistics
• Proficiency with SAGE200, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP software
• Proven warehouse management experience, understanding material movement, storage principles, and FIFO practices
• Knowledge of Lean Management principles with a record of implementing improvements
