Job summary

Terex Corporation in the United Kingdom seeks a Materials Controller to manage storage, co-ordinations and supply of parts to the machine build team at our Coalville facility. You will work as part of a team to ensure safe, efficient material flow to production.

Responsibilities include organizing storage layout, handling parts, coordinating with the forklift driver and supply chain, inspecting incoming goods, ordering missing or damaged parts, and upholding 5S and waste/environment procedures.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in material movement or similar role.
• Forklift/combi-lift license holder.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
• IT literacy and familiarity with MRP systems.
• Knowledge of inventory control is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Co-develop storage layout for parts to ensure safe, accessible storage for machine build.
• Handle materials efficiently and on time.
• Coordinate parts movement with the Forklift Driver.
• Work with supply chain to ensure timely deliveries.
• Check goods inwards and coordinate with quality to meet specs.
• Order missing or damaged parts.
• Inform Machine Build Supervisor of availability and delivery timeframes.
• Coordinate Return to Stores and Reject processes.
• Ensure inventory control measures and receipts on systems.
• Escalate key issues to supervisors as required.
• Follow 5S and environmental/waste procedures.
• General housekeeping and use of FLT/PIT where required.
