Job summary

JAB Recruitment is seeking a Materials Expeditor to support a major EPC project based in Woking. The role focuses on expediting materials, coordinating inspections, and ensuring timely deliveries while liaising with suppliers and stakeholders throughout procurement processes.

Ideal candidates will have prior expeditor or materials coordination experience within EPC, engineering, construction, or oil & gas environments, with strong IT and documentation skills and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Materials Expeditor, Expeditor, Materials Coordinator or similar.
• Experience in EPC/oil & gas projects is advantageous.
• Understanding of procurement, materials tracking and expediting processes.
• Experience coordinating inspection and quality requirements would be advantageous.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Fluent English communication.

JAB Recruitment is currently sourcing on behalf of our client for a Materials Expeditor to support a major EPC project based in Woking.

*Candidate must have previous experience working with or on Saudi Aramco projects*

Location: Woking

Contract: 24 months, full-time

Duration: August 2026 – July 2028

The successful candidate will support the project team with the coordination and expediting of materials, equipment and supplies, helping to ensure project requirements are met and deliveries are completed within the required timescales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to the project team
• Track and coordinate quality inspection requirements relating to project materials and equipment
• Expedite materials, equipment and supplies to support timely project delivery
• Follow up with relevant suppliers and stakeholders throughout the procurement process
• Maintain accurate inventory and material tracking records
• Verify material specifications against project requirements
• Monitor and document deliveries, shortages and discrepancies
• Maintain accurate procurement and materials documentation
• Liaise with project, procurement, quality and supplier personnel to resolve material delivery issues

Ideal Background:

• Previous experience as a Materials Expeditor, Expeditor, Materials Coordinator or similar
• Experience within an EPC, engineering, construction, oil & gas or similar project environment
• Understanding of procurement, materials tracking and expediting processes
• Experience coordinating inspection and quality requirements would be advantageous
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Good IT skills, including word processing and general computer systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Fluent spoken English
• Able to communicate confidently with suppliers and project stakeholders
