Job summary

Arabelle Solutions is seeking a Materials Engineer to support nuclear business projects with specialist materials knowledge across the whole range of products and services. You will be part of a team that analyzes materials information and curates materials knowledge resources to support business resilience.

You will maintain positive interfaces with other technical disciplines and projects, and work with the manufacturing network and external suppliers.

Qualifications

• Education: BEng/BSc in Materials Engineering; postgraduate qualifications desirable.
• Postgraduate experience in engineering metallurgy, preferably high alloy steels.
• Experience in literature review and knowledge synthesis.
• Background in metallurgy, especially metallurgy of steels.
• Knowledge management of materials.
• Fundamentals of non-destructive testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide materials support to Products and Services.
• Issue and check technical reports.
• Participate in cost reduction activities related to material streamlining and harmonization of legacy specifications.
• Maintain interfaces with other technical disciplines and with projects in Products and Services.
• Maintain interfaces with the manufacturing network in Arabelle Solutions and external suppliers.
• Provide feedback through supplier/internal reports.
• Support investigation and resolution of technical issues related to materials manufacturing and performance.
