Job summary

Group Rhodes Limited in Wakefield is seeking a Warehouse Materials Handler to support production by receiving, checking, and stocking raw materials and coordinating with production teams. You will read basic drawings, handle a range of materials, and perform quality checks while maintaining safe, efficient operations.

This hands-on role requires attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Practical hands-on skills and relevant experience required.
• Engineering, manufacturing or vocational qualification is desirable.
• Forklift truck or lifting equipment certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and record incoming materials and deliveries, ensuring safe unloading and traceability.
• Maintain safe, organised raw material storage with accurate stock records.
• Prepare, verify and allocate raw materials for production, minimising waste.
• Move and supply correct materials to departments and report shortages or delays.
• Carry out basic quality checks and report defects.
• Finish by deburring, cleaning and preparing for next stage.
• Prepare finished goods for dispatch by packing and organising items.
• Follow health, safety and housekeeping procedures.
