The Graphene Engineering & Innovation Centre (GEIC) at the University of Manchester is seeking a Composites Materials Developer to advance the development and processing of fibre reinforced plastic materials. You will operate and maintain our state‑of‑the‑art laboratories, and work with colleagues across the 2D materials labs and GEIC teams to deliver scalable processing capabilities for industry partners.

Job description

The Graphene Engineering & Innovation Centre (GEIC) is a world class hub for graphene and 2D materials development and commercialisation. Our mission is to accelerate the adoption of next generation materials and processes, helping industry bring advanced technologies to market both in the UK and globally.
We are inviting applications for a full time Composites Materials Developer. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to join a team working at the forefront of advanced materials innovation.
As a Composites Materials Developer, you will contribute to a broad range of activities, including the development and processing of fibre reinforced plastic materials. You will also play a key role in operating and maintaining our state of the art laboratories and facilities, ensuring they run to the highest standards.
Collaboration is central to this position. You will work closely with colleagues across the 2D materials laboratories, as well as the GEIC technical support teams, to deliver a first class, scalable up processing capability for industry partners.
