Job summary

Adecco in Goole (Yorkshire) is seeking a Materials Controller to manage the flow of materials from suppliers to production, maintain accurate inventory levels, and collaborate with departments to forecast needs. This 40-hour-per-week role pays £15.70 per hour, starting ASAP, with an initial contract through March 2027 and potential extension.

The ideal candidate has experience in materials management or supply chain, strong data interpretation, good communication, and proficiency in inventory

Qualifications

• Experience in materials management or supply chain operations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Managing the flow of materials from suppliers through to production.
• Ensuring accurate inventory levels are maintained and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
• Collaborating closely with various departments to forecast material needs and optimise supply chain processes.
• Developing and implementing inventory management strategies to enhance efficiency.
• Conducting regular stock audits and analyses to ensure compliance with internal policies and standards.
• Coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolving any supply chain issues that may arise.
