Job summary

NP Aerospace is seeking an experienced Materials Control Manager at our Coventry site to lead inventory, stores operations and material flow. You will ensure accurate stock records, drive stock discipline and support production delivery while collaborating with Procurement, Production Control and Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a Materials Control, Stores, Inventory Management or Production Stores team within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, stock accuracy, material flow and stock management processes.
• Experience using ERP, stock management or warehouse management systems to control materials, record transactions and support accurate reporting.
• Able to lead, support and develop a team, setting clear expectations around safety, accuracy, service and performance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock movements are recorded correctly.
• Lead cycle counts, stock checks and audits, identify variances and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor stock levels, usage trends and shortages to support production planning.
• Oversee receipt, storage, handling and issue of materials across the site.
• Lead and develop the Materials Control team and maintain a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Production Control and Manufacturing to align material availability with schedules.
• Use ERP to support stock control, traceability and reporting; assist with a new ERP implementation.
