Job summary

Ford & Stanley Talent Services Group Ltd in Leeds is seeking a meticulous Materials Controller to join our busy maintenance and engineering operation. You will ensure materials are received, stored and issued to support production and maintenance teams, with a strong focus on accuracy, traceability and safety.

The role offers a Monday–Friday pattern with flexible start and finish times. Responsibilities include managing goods inwards, raising requisitions and purchase orders, loading/unloading

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of materials control, stock management and purchasing processes.
  • Experience processing purchase orders and managing inventory.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage goods inwards and ensure correct storage.
  • Raise requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Prepare materials for shipment and overhaul.
  • Load and unload deliveries safely.
  • Issue materials to operational teams.
  • Carry out stock counts and inventory control.
  • Monitor material usage and stock levels.
  • Expedite orders and liaise with suppliers.
  • Maintain housekeeping to promote efficiency and safety.
  • Record-keeping and collaboration with stores and operations.
