Job summary

Ford & Stanley are partnering with our Crewe facility to recruit a Materials Controller. The role focuses on ensuring the efficient flow, control, and availability of materials to support maintenance and operations, with a 4 on, 4 off dayshift from 07:00 to 19:00.

Key duties include stock control, procurement support, and liaison with suppliers to maintain material availability in a fast-paced environment. A Counterbalance FLT licence, full UK driving licence, and compliance checks are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage goods inwards and operate FLT trucks.
• Raise requisitions and purchase orders.
• Prepare materials for shipment and overhaul.
• Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Issue materials to operational teams.
• Carry out stock counts and inventory control activities.
• Monitor material usage and stock levels.
• Expedite orders and liaise with suppliers as required.
• Work closely with stores and operational teams to ensure material availability.

As a Materials Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient flow, control, and availability of materials across the facility, directly supporting maintenance and operational activities. Working within a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, supporting procurement activities, coordinating logistics processes, and ensuring materials are available when required to meet operational demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.

Essential Requirements

• Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Eligibility to drive company vehicles in accordance with the company's motor insurance policy.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points.
