Job summary

NP Aerospace in Coventry is seeking a Materials Control Manager to lead inventory control, stores operations and material flow, ensuring accurate recording and timely availability to support production delivery.

You will manage a small team, drive stock discipline, collaborate with Procurement, Production Control and Manufacturing, and contribute to ERP system improvements in a fast-paced defence manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Materials Control, Stores, or Inventory teams in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, stock accuracy and material flow.
• Experience using ERP/stock management systems for reporting.
• Able to lead, develop and coach a team with a focus on safety and performance.
• Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead Materials Control, ensuring accurate inventory records and stock availability for production.
• Oversee receipt, storage, handling and issue of materials across the site.
• Develop and coach the Materials Control team to meet safety and performance targets.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Production Control and Manufacturing to align material availability with schedules.
• Identify process improvements and contribute to ERP system enhancements.
• Maintain health, safety and compliance across stores and material areas.
