Job summary

Northrop Grumman UK is seeking a Material Controller to manage stock, coordinate logistics and ensure material availability for production schedules in a defence environment. You will join a team supporting mission-critical systems and have visibility across Production Control, Supply Chain and warehouse operations.

The role requires experience in stock control, inventory management and collaboration with multiple functions, plus familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, warehouse operations or similar roles, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and tools, including SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Experience working within a team and collaborating across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Production Control, Supply Chain, Mission Assurance, Logistics and the warehouse to ensure materials and equipment are available when required.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, forecasting future needs to support production schedules and avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Analyse inventory data and trends, identifying opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency and process quality across inventory control and warehousing activities.
• Work closely with project teams to resolve material issues, including supply chain challenges, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Ensure all logistics and materials processes align with Northrop Grumman UK policies, procedures, governance frameworks and values.
