Job summary

Travail Employment Group is recruiting a detail‑oriented Materials Assistant for a Corby based operation. You’ll assist with stock checks, receive incoming goods, book stock into the system and store materials in line with procedures.

Key duties include picking and packing components, preparing sales orders for dispatch, arranging courier collections and maintaining accurate stock records. The role requires good IT skills, especially Excel, and the ability to work independently or as part of a

Qualifications

• Experience in Stores, Warehouse, Materials or Inventory.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in counts.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Competent IT skills, including Excel.
• Proactive and hands-on, able to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to learn and understand products, systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stock checks and inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy.
• Receive incoming goods, book stock into the system, and store materials per procedures.
• Pick and pack component parts for production orders.
• Prepare and package sales orders for dispatch.
• Arrange courier collections and support timely shipments.
• Maintain accurate stock records and support inventory control activities.
• Assist the wider Materials team as required.
• Work towards KPI objectives and adhere to quality, health and safety procedures.
