Job summary

Circle Health Group's Huddersfield Private Hospital invites applicants for a Materials Assistant (Bank). This role supports the Materials Department on a bank basis, covering busy periods and staff absence, with shifts at Huddersfield Private Hospital.

The successful candidate will have GCSE Maths and English, plus PC skills including Word and Excel, and will work with a professional team to maintain stock and orderly records in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE/O level Mathematics and English or equivalent.
• Proficiency in the use of a PC, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to work on own initiative without close supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Active member of the Materials Department handling day-to-day operations.
• Provide a high-quality materials management service to internal customers.
• Ensure stock availability through correct ordering and replenishment.
• Maintain departmental paperwork and records with accuracy and accessibility.
• Complete mandatory training as required.

Salary: Up to £12.71 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Materials Assistant to join their team of staff in theMaterials department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• You are an active member of the Materials Department, involved in the day to day running of the department.
• Provide an effective and high-quality materials management service to all internal customers.
• Ensure stock availability through the correct order processing and replenishing of pre-approved stock and products for central stores or on behalf of hospital departments.
• Maintain all departmental paperwork and files in good order with reference to accuracy, appropriateness and availability.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• A minimum of GSCE/O level Mathematics and English or equivalent.
• Proficiency in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Able to work on own initiative without close supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
