Job summary

Beaumont Hospital in Bolton, part of Circle Health Group, is recruiting a Materials Assistant (Bank) to join the Materials Department. This is an “as and when required” role to cover busy periods and staff absence.

You will help with day-to-day operations, ensure stock availability, process orders, and maintain departmental records, while meeting mandatory training requirements. A minimum GCSE/ O level in Math and English is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCSE/O level Mathematics and English or equivalent.
• Proficiency in using a PC, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Able to work on own initiative with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Be an active member of the Materials Department and assist in day-to-day operations.
• Provide an effective and high-quality materials management service to internal customers.
• Ensure stock availability through correct order processing and replenishment of pre-approved stock.
• Maintain all departmental paperwork and files with accuracy and organization.
• Complete all relevant mandatory training.

Salary: Up to £12.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Materials Assistant to join their team of staff in theMaterials department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

You are an active member of the Materials Department, involved in the day to day running of the department.

Provide an effective and high-quality materials management service to all internal customers.

Ensure stock availability through the correct order processing and replenishing of pre-approved stock and products for central stores or on behalf of hospital departments.

Maintain all departmental paperwork and files in good order with reference to accuracy, appropriateness and availability.

You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

A minimum of GSCE/O level Mathematics and English or equivalent.

Proficiency in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Able to work on own initiative without close supervision.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
