Job summary

Circle Health Group is seeking a Materials Assistant (Bank) for Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow. This is an as-and-when-required role within the Materials Department to support busy periods and cover annual leave or absence.

Duties include active day-to-day department participation, material management for internal customers, stock control, and maintaining accurate paperwork while completing mandatory training.

Qualifications

• GCSE/O level Mathematics and English (or equivalent) required.
• Proficiency in PC use including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work on own initiative without close supervision.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be an active member of the Materials Department and support day-to-day operations.
• Provide an effective materials management service to internal customers.
• Ensure stock availability through correct order processing and replenishment for central stores or hospital departments.

Materials Assistant (Bank) Ross Hall Hospital Bank Shifts Salary: Up to £13.09 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for a Materials Assistant to join their team of staff in the Materials department. This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• You are an active member of the Materials Department, involved in the day to day running of the department.
• Provide an effective and high-quality materials management service to all internal customers.
• Ensure stock availability through the correct order processing and replenishing of pre-approved stock and products for central stores or on behalf of hospital departments.
• Maintain all departmental paperwork and files in good order with reference to accuracy, appropriateness and availability.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• A minimum of GSCE/O level Mathematics and English or equivalent.
• Proficiency in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Able to work on own initiative without close supervision.
• Customer service skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
