Rolls-Royce is seeking a Materials Application Engineer to join the Light Alloys & Steel team in Derby on-site three days a week. You will apply advanced materials knowledge across challenging projects, provide technical leadership, and collaborate with engineers across design, manufacturing and R&T to deliver robust solutions.

The role emphasizes continuous learning, strong communication, and the ability to work in a team, with a clear path toward Chartered status and professional development

Formación

• Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Materials Engineering or equivalent practical capability.
• Technical experience relevant to Materials Engineering; R&T, manufacturing or design backgrounds considered.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Resolve problems through evaluative judgments using technical knowledge and engineering judgment.
• Lead defined technical work packages with delivery against milestones, costs, timescales and quality.
• Act as a point of contact within Materials Engineering and provide advisory support to customers.
