Rolls-Royce are recruiting a Materials Application Engineer to support light alloys and steel for engine life-cycle projects in Derby, on-site three days per week. The role suits a materials engineer with knowledge of materials integrity, testing, and problem-solving in a collaborative team.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Materials Engineering or equivalent.
• Technical experience in Materials Engineering; R&T, manufacturing or design considered.
• Strong logical, analytical and innovative problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of product integrity / liability and certification frameworks is a plus.
• Membership in a relevant professional body.
• In the UK, Chartered status is preferred but can be developed in role.

• Resolve problems through evaluative judgments and engineering judgement.
• Analyze data from multiple sources, interpret results and propose effective solutions.
• Deliver defined technical packages of work within schedule and budget.
• Act as a point of contact within Materials Engineering and share knowledge across the function.
• Provide advisory services to designated customers and coach colleagues on technical matters.
• Align work with business objectives and Rolls-Royce values.
• Promote continuous improvement within the team and beyond.
