Job summary

Lynx Recruitment is seeking an experienced Material Stores Operator in Aldershot to ensure the smooth flow of raw materials and accurate stock records in a manufacturing environment. You will support production, inspect incoming materials and process delivery notes, while maintaining compliance and inventory control.

The role involves raising shop-floor job cards, coordinating material movements and ensuring safety and regulatory standards are met.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores, warehouse, materials or manufacturing environments.
• Experience receiving, inspecting and booking in raw materials and processing delivery notes.
• Good stock control, inventory management and record-keeping.
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Forklift experience is advantageous and training can be provided.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Understanding of Health & Safety and manual handling procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Reliable, hardworking and flexible with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, inspecting and booking in raw materials, checking for damage and processing delivery documentation.
• Raising job cards for the shop floor and ensuring material certificates meet compliance with the Inspection team.
• Managing material movements in and out of stores and responding to production material requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in stores, warehousing or materials handling within an engineering or manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of raw materials throughout the business, supporting production, maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring materials meet the required quality standards.

The Material Stores Operator will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, materials or manufacturing environment


• Experience receiving, inspecting and booking in raw materials and processing delivery notes


• Good stock control, inventory management and record-keeping skills


• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office


• A full UK driving licence


• Forklift experience would be advantageous, although training or refresher courses can be provided


• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads


• Strong communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude


• A good understanding of Health & Safety and manual handling procedures


• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a small team
