We are hiring a Material Resource Planning (MRP) Controller for the turbomachinery business in Lincoln. In this role, you will act as the primary operational link between internal teams and suppliers, maintaining accurate SAP planning data to ensure the master production plan is achieved. Core responsibilities include managing stock levels, monitoring supplier capacity, resolving schedule exception messages, and conducting business reviews to maintain high performance across quality, cost, and delivery. Ideal candidates bring hands‑on experience in engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, or logistics, along with strong SAP skills, proactive problem‑solving abilities, and excellent stakeholder management.
Some of the duties will include but are not limited to:
- Create, update, and communicate detailed part delivery plans to support the master production schedule.
- Monitor supplier delivery schedules (handling SAP exception messages) to prevent manufacturing delays.
- Assess and report the impact of changing customer demand on delivery schedules.
- Act as the primary operational contact for suppliers regarding planning, inventory, delivery, and lead times.
- Lead regular business reviews with suppliers to evaluate performance across Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD).
- Identify and manage supplier load and capacity constraints that could impact lead times or fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate master and dynamic planning data within SAP/ERP systems.
- Manage stock across the supply chain to ensure inventory levels are maintained and used within required timeframes.
- Coordinate the introduction of new parts into the supply chain using standard pro-forma processes.
- Proactively identify potential delivery hazards and develop recovery plans for material shortages.
- Escalate severe supply chain or capacity issues to senior management when necessary.
- Practical experience working in Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, or Logistics.
- Proven working knowledge of production planning and controls.
- Hands-on experience working within manufacturing facilities.
- Solid working knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP/MRP system.
- Understanding of inventory control, dynamic/master planning data, and supply chain scheduling.
- Familiarity with quality systems and supply chain compliance processes.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead operational relationships with suppliers.
- Experience assessing supplier capability, capacity, and load constraints.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Strong, proactive problem-solving skills with a robust communication style.

- Hands-on experience conducting formal Business Reviews with suppliers to evaluate Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) metrics.
- Proven capability in assessing supplier Load & Capacity constraints to preemptively resolve supply chain bottlenecks.
- Experience handling subcontract services and negotiating lead time/inventory control improvements.
- Familiarity with formal Commitment Acceptance or Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
- Experience introducing new parts into active production lines using standard pro-forma documentation.
- Direct experience managing Exception Messages and schedule lines within SAP.
- Background working in a heavy engineering or turbomachinery manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects alongside quality and purchasing teams.
