Job summary

Copeland Limited in Cookstown, Northern Ireland is seeking a proactive Material Planner to join our Supply Chain team. This role ensures material availability to support production, working closely with suppliers, production, engineering and procurement to maintain continuity of supply.

You will manage material master data, monitor stock levels and lead times, and drive continuous improvements in planning processes. On-site presence is required at our Cookstown manufacturing site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience in supply chain, material planning, production planning, purchasing, logistics or similar environment.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain material master data within the ERP system, including supplier assignments, lead times, lot sizes and safety stock.
• Plan and manage material availability to align with production schedules.
• Monitor stock levels and implement actions to optimise inventory while ensuring supply continuity.
• Build supplier relationships to ensure on-time deliveries and performance.
• Monitor supplier performance and support supplier development initiatives.
• Coordinate inbound shipments and fulfil customs-related requirements where applicable.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production and Procurement on changes and BOM updates.
• Analyze planning data to identify risks, shortages and opportunities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning and inventory management.
