Job summary

Your Recruiters Limited in Lostock, Bolton is seeking a Material Planner to manage forecasting, stock control and purchasing activities. You will work with the Lead Material Planner, suppliers and customers to ensure right materials are in the right place at the right time.

This role covers forecasting, stock management, order progression and customer communication, with emphasis on accuracy, data handling and proactive problem-solving in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in stock control, material planning or related areas.
• Strong Excel and data skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise multiple orders and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process customer forecasts and identify material requirements.
• Monitor stock levels and compare actual usage to forecasts.
• Identify shortages or excess stock and take action.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure materials are available.
• Progress orders and monitor incoming stock.
• Provide regular order updates to customers and internal teams.
• Respond to customer queries and manage accounts.
• Produce KPI reports and maintain stock data accuracy.
