Job summary

Nutreco’s Trouw Nutrition GB is seeking a proactive Material Planner to own material availability across production at the Ashbourne site. You will work with suppliers and internal teams to maintain supply continuity, minimise risk, and support efficient delivery while adapting to changing priorities.

Ideal candidates will have ERP and Excel experience, strong communication, and a data-driven, analytical approach to planning and problem-solving.

• Create and manage purchase orders to ensure timely material delivery for production.

• Coordinate with Production Planning, Customer Service, Procurement, and suppliers to resolve issues.
• Analyse planning data and ERP information to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Manage supply disruptions and stock challenges while maintaining service levels.

What You'll Do

• Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring materials are delivered on time and in line with production requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels, supplier performance, and changing demand patterns to maintain continuity of supply and minimize risk.
• Work closely with Production Planning, Customer Service, Procurement, and suppliers to coordinate material availability and resolve potential issues before they impact operations.
• Analyse planning data and ERP information to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage supply disruptions, shortages, and stock-related challenges, balancing business priorities while maintaining customer service levels.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is responsible, adaptable, and ready to Own this role. This position would suit a naturally analytical problem-solver who enjoys working with numbers, can stay calm under pressure, and is comfortable operating in an environment where priorities can change quickly.

You’ll also bring:

• Experience working with ERP systems and Excel skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• A proactive mindset, logical approach to problem-solving, and willingness to continuously learn and improve.

Nice to have:

• Experience in Material Planning, Supply Planning, Production Planning, Procurement, or another supply chain-related discipline.
• Manufacturing environment experience.
• Knowledge of MRP processes and Lean Manufacturing principles.
