Job summary

Trouw Nutrition GB, a Nutreco company, is seeking a European Logistics Coordinator to own export logistics for premium animal feed across Europe. You will manage end-to-end processes, ensuring on-time delivery and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong IT skills, ERP literacy, and superb communication with customers and partners. You will collaborate with production, QA, and CS teams to resolve transit issues and optimize routes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate European shipments under DDP terms from order to delivery at the customer's site.
  • Prepare export documentation incl. invoices, packing lists, and product specs.
  • Act as primary contact for customs brokers and authorities for timely clearance.
  • Oversee SPS compliance for animal feed exports, health certificates and inspections.
  • Manage hazardous goods (ADR) with proper labeling and carrier docs.
  • Maintain relationships with hauliers and freight forwarders, optimizing routes for cost-effectiveness.
  • Bridge production, quality, customer service and end customers with regular shipment updates.

Overview

Own the journey as a European Logistics Coordinator at Trouw Nutrition GB, a Nutreco company. In this dynamic role you will take full ownership of the export logistics process for our premium animal feed products, ensuring safe, compliant, and on-time delivery across Europe.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all aspects of European shipments under DDP terms, from order processing to final delivery at the customer’s site.
  • Prepare and manage export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and product specifications.
  • Act as primary contact for customs brokers and authorities to ensure timely clearance.
  • Oversee SPS regulatory compliance for animal feed exports, producing health certificates, scheduling veterinary inspections, and maintaining EU import regulation compliance.
  • Manage logistics for hazardous product lines, ensuring adherence to ADR and other safety regulations, proper labelling, documentation, and carrier compliance.
  • Maintain relationships with hauliers and freight forwarders, monitoring performance and optimizing routes for cost‑effectiveness.
  • Serve as bridge between production, quality, customer service teams and end customers, providing regular shipment updates and resolving transit issues quickly.
Requirements
  • Essential: Excellent IT literacy, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams). Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication skills and confidence working with customers, hauliers, and internal stakeholders. Flexible, reliable, and able to support the team during busy periods. Proactive, resilient, collaborative approach with a desire to learn and continuously improve.
  • Desirable: Experience in international logistics, particularly UK‑to‑EU exports. Knowledge of SPS controls and animal feed export regulations. Experience handling hazardous goods (ADR). Understanding of customs declarations, tariff codes, CHEDs, and DDP shipping requirements.
