Job summary

Acorn by Synergie seeks an experienced Material Handler Operator in Luton to operate heavy material handling machines and manage scrap and recycling streams. The role requires NPORS or CPCS qualification and proven machine handling in demolition or recycling environments.

The ideal candidate will work Monday to Friday, 7am–5pm, totaling 50 hours per week, with a mid-September start and long-term prospects. On-site safety and teamwork are essential to meet productivity targets.

Qualifications

• NPORS or CPCS qualification required for 360 wheeled excavator operation.
• Proven experience operating material handlers in demolition, recycling or scrap environments.
• Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Good understanding of site safety procedures.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Able to work Monday to Friday, 7am–5pm.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling machines including Sennebogen, Fuchs and Liebherr.
• Safely move, sort and process scrap and recycling materials.
• Carry out daily machinery checks and basic maintenance.
• Follow site health and safety procedures.
• Work as part of a team to meet site productivity targets.
• Maintain a safe and organised working environment.
