Job summary

Gi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited are recruiting on behalf of a global life sciences company. The Material Handler I role sits in the Goods In Department at the Heysham site and involves receiving, storing, picking and shipping materials in line with site procedures and transport regulations.

You will work with JD Edwards (JDE) and MSDS documentation, maintain accurate records, perform cycle counts, resolve Not on Location issues, and comply with EMS/QMS and health and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills

• Previous experience in a warehouse / goods in-out / materials handling environment

Responsibilities

• Support a busy Goods In and warehouse operation, ensuring materials are received, stored, picked and shipped in line with site procedures and transport regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and paperwork, including JD Edwards (JDE) transactions.
• Locate bulk and pre-pack items to correct storage locations and assist with stock counts.
• Investigate and resolve Not on Location (NOL) or missing items.
• Follow packing and labelling instructions to comply with transport regulations.
• Support export shipment collation and ensure paperwork is completed correctly.
