Job summary

Airbus Atlas Support Centre UK at RAF Brize Norton seeks a Material Support Specialist to manage material demands for the UK A400M fleet and coordinate with MRO and P145 teams.

You will ensure timely escalation of supply constraints, drive demand fulfilment, and engage multiple stakeholders in end-to-end supply chain processes under MTC and GSS3 contracts.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a material support/supply chain role.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across operational and support functions.
  • Proficient in Warehouse management and information systems (SAP SP1, S/4 HANA, Airnav, Microsoft Excel).
  • Knowledge of MDS as the tool for P145 Material Requisitions.
  • Knowledge of EASA Part 145 regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain operational focus across material aspects related to maintenance for UK A400M fleet.
  • Provide expert advice during management and recovery of AOG aircraft.
  • Lead demand escalation for critical items and coordinate supply chain actions.
  • Monitor demand performance and proactively identify supply risks.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Material Support Specialist to join the Airbus Atlas Support Centre UK based at RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire

Working closely with our MRO and P145 team, and reporting directly to the Material Demand Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that Team Atlas meets its commitments regarding the material demands required to achieve the Maintenance/Flying Programme.

The Material Demand Coordinator is responsible for managing material demand activities across the UK fleet, ensuring timely escalation of supply constraints, driving demand fulfilment performance, and coordinating stakeholders involved in the end-to-end supply chain process in accordance with MTC and GSS3 contracts.

How You Will Contribute To The Team
  • Ensure maintaining an Operational focus and oversight of all material aspects related to maintenance/technical issues on the UK customers' A400M fleet worldwide.
  • Provide expert advice and assistance to the Atlas team during the management and recovery of AOG aircraft on base or worldwide, including participating in any telephone conference calls.
  • Lead demand escalation for AOG & Work Stop items, including ADF’s or depth maintenance parts at risk.
  • Act as focal point regarding material demand status.
  • Follow up and chasing of items with unsatisfactory delivery estimates, missing or incorrect paperwork, incomplete REQs and escalating unresolved issues.
  • Monitor demand performance metrics and proactively identify supply risks affecting maintenance activities.
  • Participate in operational reviews, planning meetings and customer governance forums.
About You
  • Experience in a Material support/Supply chain role
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across operational and support functions.
  • Be proficient in the use of the appropriate Warehouse management and Information systems (SAP SP1, S/4 HANA, Airnnav, Microsoft Excel,etc. CHAOS)
  • Be proficient in the use of MDS as would be the tool used for P145 Material Requisitions.
  • Knowledge of EASA Part 145 regulations.
