Navantia UK is seeking a motivated Material Controller to manage inbound/outbound materials, maintain ERP accuracy, and support production teams.

You will conduct stock checks, partner with Procurement, Production and Warehouse, and help implement efficient inventory controls in a dynamic, technically focused environment.

The role is office-based with occasional travel and opportunities for professional growth within Navantia UK's expanding operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Material Control, Inventory Management, Stores, Logistics, or Warehouse Operations.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar).
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills across teams.
• Continuous improvement mindset and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control the flow of incoming and outgoing materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP and inventory management systems.
• Conduct regular stock counts and audits, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Work closely with Procurement, Production, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Implement and improve inventory control processes to minimise waste and prevent stock shortages.
• Monitor material consumption and provide reports to support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
• Support forecasting activities and inventory optimisation initiatives.
• Maintain documentation for material receipts, transfers, and stock issues.
