Job summary

Navantia UK is seeking a Production Planner to develop, maintain and optimise production plans across manufacturing operations, balancing capacity, materials and inventory while using ERP systems for accurate planning and reporting.

You will create detailed schedules, monitor progress, and adjust plans for demand or capacity changes, working with suppliers and internal teams to ensure material availability and on‑time delivery.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a Production Planning or Supply Chain Planning role within a fabrication environment.
Hands-on experience using ERP systems for production planning.
Experience managing complex production schedules and multi-level BOMs.
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with operations, procurement and sales.
Degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or related discipline - desirable.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain detailed production plans aligned with forecasts, orders and inventory targets.
Develop daily, weekly and monthly schedules to maximise efficiency and service levels.
Monitor progress and adjust plans in response to demand, capacity or material availability.
Ensure optimal use of labour, equipment and resources.
Use ERP as the primary planning and control tool for production, materials and capacity planning.
Maintain accurate master data (BOMs, routings, lead times, calendars).
Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage material availability and delivery schedules.
