Job summary

Rullion is recruiting for a Material Controller in Stone, Staffordshire. This on-site, permanent role involves receiving deliveries, managing inventory, and coordinating with production teams to ensure timely supply of materials.

You will maintain the ERP system, control stock levels, and ensure traceability for all materials and PPE. The position requires strong administration and interpersonal skills in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to take receipt of deliveries.
• Maintain the electronic inventory management system.
• Process deliveries in the ERP system with verified documentation.
• Store materials for easy identification and preserved condition.
• Liaise with production/engineers to understand requirements for projects.

Responsibilities

• Take receipt of deliveries and verify contents against paperwork.
• Maintain and update the electronic inventory management system.
• Process each delivery in the ERP and verify documentation.
• Store materials with clear labelling and condition checks.
• Coordinate with production/engineers to determine component needs.
• Control material issue to ensure traceability across projects.
• Order and maintain stock of consumables not covered by consignment.

Full Site Based/Hybrid/Remote Working: On site 5 days per week

Hours of work: Up to 40 hours per week

Qualifications/Experience Required

• Ability to take receipt of deliveries
• Maintain the electronic inventory management system
• Processing the delivery in the enterprise resource planning system ensuring documentation is verified and retained
• Store materials ensuring they can be easily identified and their condition is preserved
• Liaising with the production team and engineers to understand what part or components they require in line with their project delivery programmes
• Control the issue of materials to ensure traceability is maintained
• Ordering and maintaining a stock of consumables where not covered by consignment stock
• Control the issue of PPE ensuring records are maintained
• Control the calibration of tools and equipment ensuring the calibration database is maintained.
• Approachable diplomatic manner
• Ability to plan ahead, coordinate and prioritise workloads
• Good administration skills and computer literate good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels
